Technical information about Mallard watches
All Mallard movements are the product of ETA, Switzerland’s largest manufacturer of fine movements. All Mallard watch cases are 100% stainless steel, even if plated, for a lifetime of service. Most cases feature screw-down crowns and backs. This assures maximum protection from water damage when swimming. Models with gold plating are plated 5 microns thick for long life and more durable finish.
The crystals are mineral glass chemically treated for hardness to resist scratching. They are strong enough to withstand high water pressure, up to 500 feet deep on some models. Some watches feature a harder, scratch resistant sapphire crystal.
The luminous material used for night viewing is exceptionally high quality, giving visibility for hours. Just expose the dial to light for thirty seconds and you will be able to tell the time throughout the night.
